Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Manager who will be the first touchpoint for new brand opportunities. This person will qualify inbound leads, build strong relationships with prospective partners, and support senior leadership on enterprise opportunities. The ideal candidate is a solution-oriented seller who can connect the right SuperOrdinary services (TikTok Shop, Amazon, Studio, and more) to client needs.
This is not a traditional "closer" role — rather, it’s about creating pipeline momentum, representing SuperOrdinary at industry events, and ensuring that high-potential opportunities are nurtured effectively.
This role is hybrid – in our Beverly Hills office 3 days a week minimum.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Qualification:
- Respond to inbound brand submissions (3–4/day) and initial TikTok Shop opportunities.
- Qualify prospects based on product category, pricing, market potential, and brand fit.
- Provide weekly reporting on pipeline status and funnel progression.
- Business Development:
- Represent SuperOrdinary at trade shows and industry events.
- Research and proactively source brands with strong traction on TikTok Shop, Amazon, or other marketplaces.
- Identify marketplace trends and pursue aligned opportunities.
- Sales Support:
- Prepare case studies, pitch materials, and pipeline updates for leadership.
- Support enterprise brand pitches alongside senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth handoffs from BD to account teams.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in business development, partnerships, or account management (agency, marketplace, or brand-side experience strongly preferred).
- Experience in digital commerce, preferably in beauty, fashion, or consumer goods.
- Strong presentation skills with an ability to confidently engage executives (executive presence trainable).
- Proven ability to act as a solution seller — uncovering needs and mapping the right services to meet them.
- Marketplace experience preferred (Amazon or TikTok Shop a plus).
- Prior experience upselling or expanding client relationships is a strong plus.
- Comfortable with reporting and managing a sales funnel.

Compensation
- Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 base + commission
- Total compensation includes comprehensive benefits packages (medical, dental, vision, 401k, and flexible PTO).
