Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Livestream Product Strategy Manager to lead and execute product strategy for our live-streaming events. This role will combine the responsibilities of product strategy development, live-stream performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with creators, brands, and the TikTok team. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who understands the intricacies of brand identity and how it influences social commerce on platforms like TikTok. They should have a passion for driving product engagement, a strong ability to think outside the box, and a proven track record of effective communication across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Merchandising:
- Develop and implement product strategies for live-streaming sessions, ensuring alignment with audience preferences, brand identity, and business goals.
- Oversee the curation and selection of products, working closely with brand partners to ensure their products fit within the context of the live stream and resonate with the audience.
- Negotiate deals with brands to feature their products in live streams, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with both the brand’s and the creators' goals.
- Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with brand partners to ensure that product promotions are well integrated into future live sessions.
- Lead the merchandising efforts during live streams, ensuring products are showcased effectively to maximize engagement and conversions.
- Collaborate with the TikTok team to develop platform-specific strategies that enhance product visibility during live sessions.
- Create and execute effective talking points, content plans, and product promotion strategies, ensuring that the live stream remains engaging and products are presented in a compelling manner.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Use data analytics tools to track product performance and audience engagement metrics during live streams, providing actionable insights to improve future sessions.
- Create weekly and monthly performance reports, summarizing key data points, identifying trends, and offering recommendations for strategy improvements.
- Analyze feedback from live sessions to continuously refine product strategies, ensuring products are effectively showcased to the audience and align with brand goals.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact between creators, brand partners, the TikTok team, and internal teams, ensuring everyone is aligned on product strategy and goals.
- Lead and motivate the team to execute live stream strategies with precision, providing guidance and feedback to improve performance and results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners, ensuring seamless product integration and understanding of both their brand identity and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in product strategy, with a specific focus on live-streaming environments (especially TikTok), social commerce, or e-commerce.
- A deep understanding of brand identities and how they impact product promotion and live-stream strategies.
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box when developing product and content strategies for live-streaming sessions.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple stakeholders, including TikTok teams, creators, and brand partners.
- A background in purchasing, product sales, or sales strategy is a nice-to-have, particularly with experience in negotiating deals and product integration.
- Experience in data analysis, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing strategies based on insights and feedback.
- Highly organized with excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and solve problems without needing constant oversight.
- $20-25/hr
- 20 to 40 hours per week for 75 day contract
